Aerosan closes alliance with Avianca Cargo to serve the salmon industry

Aerosan announced the start of joint operations with Avianca Cargo as its cargo handling provider at the Santiago (Chile) airport.

Aerosan’s CEO, José Luis Rodríguez, commented, “These new operations will significantly increase the tons per year of imports and exports that we handle and will have a special focus on the salmon and fruit industries.”

Services include cargo handling for both cargo and passenger flights, which mainly move salmon for export from Chile and imports of all types of products.

“Our employees are specialized in handling this type of cargo and we have three cold storage rooms with state-of-the-art technology, including access controls, surveillance, certified scales and pre-inspection areas for cargo that are especially designed to handle food and pharmaceutical products,” added the executive.
